Die von den niederländischen Architekten Johannes Hendrik van den Broek und Jacob Berend Bakema als Hängehochhäuser entworfenen und von 1960 bis 1966 errichteten Rathaustürme waren die ersten ihrer Art in der Bundesrepublik.
